Just Bragging a bit

Jared just finished his firefighting course this weekend. We are so glad to have him home now at nights. We are waiting for the written test to be graded, but he took his practicals on Saturday. He passed all of them the first time, with flying colors. He was the only one in his class to do this. Now he is a certified firefighter (well, almost) anywhere in the United States. And a Police Officer. WOW!! What an accomplishment.

On a lesser note, we are getting ready for Christmas. We decorated a gingerbread house yesterday. Doing activities with Heidi right now is kind of risky. You never know if she will cooperate. However, she listened well and enjoyed it, especially when she tasted some of the candy. However, she has not eaten any candy that got put on the house. I thought I would have to fight her off it. Instead she just likes me to put it on the table and let her stare at it. I think I am more tempted to eat it--Runts, bottle caps, skittles.........Yummm.
