update

Okay, so it has been a while. What have we been doing?
Well, November marked month two of Jared's Class. I am so glad the final is this weekend and we will have a little more time together. November was great though, because it contained Thanksgiving. We went to a friends house for dinner. I have never had such wonderful turkey! Jared was working, but was told to go hang out with family for a while, so he came and talked with us. However, we had our Thanksgiving the following Sunday. Now I know that it doesn't really matter when you celebrate it and it is all about family and gratitude, but it just feels so much more like Thanksgiving to have it on the real day.

November was also great for Heidi and Mason. When Jared works days, he tries to swing by the house for a few minutes and say hi. He tries to see Heidi (especially if he has class); however, she is just interested in escaping. Yep, that is cold, cold rain and nothing but Daddy's shoes, panties and a t-shirt. She was having so much fun, she wouldn't even smile for me. Mason is always interested in seeing Daddy and tries to grab the radio and eat it. He is always interested in eating.

We are busy preparing for Christmas. We got a tree on Monday, an all day project as it was pouring rain and the poor tree was dripping and very muddy. We were able to decorate Tuesday night. I think the tree is really pretty and Jared likes the lights, but Heidi's favorite part is a mouse that holds Hershey's kisses. We had our ward Christmas party already. No Santa or speeches, but the kids did the nativity scene (Heidi was a sheep and sat on her teacher's lap). We had a white elephant gift exchange. It took a long time, Heidi was not interested after she found out she could not open all the presents. Our Bishop's wife, Sister Hart, had fun playing with her and entertaining her all night. That was great for Jared and I because it seems as she gets further into the 'two's' she gets harder for us to be with 24/7. She just doesn't listen anymore. However, with a little break in which we can breathe for a minute makes it so much easier to deal with the screaming. Actually, as far as things go, she just isn't too bad---knock, knock.

Mason has started combat crawling of sorts, he gets up on his hands and toes and pushes himself forward, he moves pretty well. He is starting to adjust it a bit so it is more conventional, but I love the toe thing. This morning, all 3 of us did the plank and I strated laughing too hard to finish.

When all is said and done, this is my favorite time of the day, bedtime when we all read a book and relax.
