Kids can be so incredibly funny. Like the other day Heidi and Mason were taking a bath. Mason has just discovered that he has places that exist below his big round belly. He is very fascinated with these right now which has made Heidi rather curious too. Anyway, they were in the bath and I was not paying a lot of attention until I realized that they are in the process of exploring.
Me: Heidi we don't touch other people's private places. Mason, don't play with that.
Heidi: Mason, we don't pull on that. You could pull it off.
She then quickly glances down and I can see the wheels turning. She doesn't say anything, but I imagine she is thinking "is that what happened to mine?!"
Heidi lives in her own world probably about 84% of the time. She has two best friends: train and school bus. I have found her yelling out the window for train to come in because it is raining and he is getting wet. "Train, you are getting wet. Jump on your tracks and come in. TRAIN!!!" I have also heard her getting mad at school bus for knocking down a tower. She made a tower before lunch and we were eating when from no where.
Heidi: School bus, NOOOO!
Me: What is school bus doing?
Heidi: He is knocking down my castle. But it is ok train is there blocking him.
Me: well, that is nice of train.
Like I said she lives in her own world.
Mason's new obsession is climbing. 'If it is vertical, it is climbable' is his motto. You would think with all the climbing he would at least learn what objects are unstable, but nope. He scales the chair only to see the chair back. He tries to scale that too. I am going gray just trying to keep him from falling and breaking a bone. He is learning to drag benches and boxes now to help him climb the previously too high objects. However, he is so cute because he is learning to talk. Ok, only I can understand him, but he does communicate more now. He loves having me open the fridge and then he just stands there trying to decide what to eat. He even moves containers around looking for the good stuff. The way to his heart is through his belly. Everything can be cured with food. Which is surprising if you look at him; he is still not 20 lbs. I guess it is all that climbing!
I was going to post pics, but I am uploading them somewhere else right now and I don't want to push the Internet too much so I will put some on later.
